Limited Edition Captain Kirk Chairs Are Go

Boldly going where no chair-maker has gone before, this is a full-scale, $2,900 (£1,876) replica of Kirk's throne in the original series. But that's not the coolest bit.

Hit the former 'yellow alert' button on the front right armrest and one of nine original sounds from the series beams out, including: ""Space... the final frontier..." spoken by William Shatner, "Kirk to Engineering... Mr. Scott, report!" and "Position report Spock?"

The former 'red alert' button sounds photon torpedoes, phaser stun sounds and more.

Donald Rumsfeld Just Got Totally Busted

Somehow, a few of the "worldwide intelligence updates" that were hand-delivered to former President Bush by then-defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld on the 2003 invasion of Iraq have ended up over at GQ US, who were seemingly Not That Busy.

Turns out the slides are all full of cool war images with loads of religious, mission from God crap about soaring "on the wings of the dawn" and blowing shit up. So now who are the bad guys? We're confused. But it's probably The West.

Coolest Game Controller Ever™ Is Coming

This is the controller for Activision's forthcoming Tony Hawk: Ride game, due out at the end of the year on Xbox360, PS3 and Wii. And it ROCKS. Literally. Because it's a full-size motion sensor skateboard, with two accelerometers and four motion sensors - you control everything in the game with this. No other controls needed.
